Summary
Trochus stellatus (Figure 1) is a mollusc: gastropoda member of the family Trochidae, that has a worldwide distribution. This species has a topshell, which is an important feature to the identification of this family. It is a herbivorous animal, and can be easily found under rocks, or exposed, at reef crest. There are very little researches about theirs ecology, behavior or even systematics studies.
